Figure 1. Due to the warmer summer, the southern and central parts of the boreal zone are more favourable for growth than the north. The accumulated temperature (calculated for T > 5 C) also shows that in 1995, the warm period occurred in June-July, whereas in 1996, August was the warmest month of the summer.
